Under a Curse

I really think your daughter cast a spell on me yesterday. Everytime I caught her eating something, I snap a picture of her. First as we were enjoying your fantastic Breakfast Pasties yesterday morning, I caught her with a banana in her mouth. Then we went to Petco to see the cute dogs and kittens up for adopition...I snapped photos of her and grandma petting the animals...especially a wonderful schitzu of an unusal color. Then we went to our 90 year old friend Marvin's house...I snapped photos of the hugs and playing with his dog Buddy. Finally we went to Red Lobster for dinner and I snapped photos of her eating lobster. She finally said, "Will you stop...!!!"

Then I sat down at the computer and transferred all 13 photos onto my chip and then to the computer. Once there, I deleted them from my phone...bad move...When I went to the chip, there was not one single photo on it. The only thing I can think of is Nikki placed a curse on it...LOL.

Hence, no photos this time around.

Well, at the end of last week I got sick with a cold or as the doctors call it, rhino virus. This week Jan and Nikki have it. Who knows, maybe next week the dogs will have it.

Nikki however was well enough yesterday to go walking with me and the dogs and she got to meet Otis...Mandy's big.

While meeting Otis, I introduced her to Gary and Robyn Hehe the fairground managers. Now how's that for a coincedence Hetu and Hehe...are you guys related?

If Nikki can get out of the sack in the morning she will go to work with me to see exactly what it is that I do for a living. The timing is good also because I will be presenting a piece on diversity in the workplace which is one of my passions...so, stay tuned for further developments.

Oh about that group photo. Mandy and Wiggles were more interested in finding dead carcuses to eat!!!

One Week with our Granddaughter

Last Saturday, my wife and I went to the Indianapolis International Airport to pick up our 22 year old granddaughter. She will be spending three weeks with us and we have just completed week one...what a wonderful week it was.

I have to work during the day so grandma and grandaughter are getting some great quality time; shopping and doing the things that women do...like watching the food channel and creating some great meals when I come home at night...you can't beat that. Great salads, homemade chicken vegetable stoup (yep stoup, a cross between stew and soup), it was fabulous.

Oh yeah, we went to the Home and Garden Show in Indy as well...Whoopee!!!
