Born February 14, 1942 I follow the traditional traits of Aquarius. Friendly and humanitarian
Honest and loyal
Original and inventive
Independent and intellectual. And on the Dark Side, Intractable and contrary
Perverse and unpredictable
Unemotional and detached. And I am also an Atheist.
I am married to a great lady, have two sons; One in Florida and one in New Hampshire. I have two daugters: One in Lower Michigan and one in the Upper Pennsula of Michigan. In addition I have three step daughters and one step son. They all live in lower Michigan. Then there are the grandchildren. My oldest son has two daughers and a son. My youngest son has never married and to the best of my knowledge has no children. My oldest daughter has one daughter and one son. My youngest daughter has two sons and two daughters. My oldest step daughter has one son. My next oldest step daughter has one son and one daughter. Next stepdaughter has two sons. Finally the step son has two daughters...you do the math. Oh yeah, I also have one great grandaughter and one great grand son.
I watched the video. I don't agree with all of it... being someone who believes in evolution, a follower of the ancient religions, and a person with a rather high IQ. :-D However, I will say it gave me a LOT to think on! I do wish people did not consider only Christians, Jews and Muslims as religious though! I despise those who are too scared to think for themselves or to question things and hide that fear in religion. However, that being said, I've always held a certain prejudices against atheism... guess I need to start thinking more for myself as well!
Val, I hope you are not prejudiced against me as I am an atheist but, I also feel people have the right to believe in whatever it is they want to believe in and I will defend their right to the death. I embrace diversity 100% and really enjoy learning about other people's beliefs be it religion, politics, culture and all things that make up our wonderful world of differences.
Nope - not prejudiced against you. My problem is I've run across atheists that tend to vocalize the fact that they're "too smart" to believe in a god (read: I'm dumb for believing in deity). After a while, I realized I had let myself become jaded into thinking Atheists were arrogant. Anyhow - I did enjoy your post - as I said it gave me a lot to think about!
